Methods of Use

Learning how to use essentials oil could be very fun, trying all the different methods could be enjoyable too. No special equipment nor fancy preparation required to enjoy the benefits of essential oils. Essential oils are so powerful, diluting and applying them safely is very important to obtain benefits and get optimal results.

Below are some suggestions for the most beneficial ways of using essential oils. You may simply choose the method that best suits your particular needs.



Massage
A pleasurable way to enjoy aromatherapy as it combines both the senses of touch and smell. Massage relaxes muscles and improves circulation and lymph flow, soothes
physical tension and relieves mental stress.

Enjoy creating your own massage oil by mixing 6 drops of essential oil or synergy blend to 10ml of carrier oil such as sweet almond, grapeseed, or sunflower.

Bathing
Draw a hot tub of water with heat level of about 38 degrees, that you will feel warm and comfortable with. Add 6-8 drops of pure essential oil or synergy blends, agitate to disperse them evenly. You may also add in some bath salt to your bath tub. Soak for 10 minutes and breathe in to feel your stress melt away.

Footbath
When you are in a situation where full aromatherapy bath is not possible, footbath is a practical and ideal alternative. Reflex points on our foot affect different area of the body, and through footbath, essential oils can be absorbed rapidly.
Footbath can help soothe aches and refresh your tired feet, is ideal especially after you have been exercising or out walking.

Vaporisers /Burner
There are variety ways of vaporizing essential oils.

Essential oil burners
An romantic and cozy way with candle light flickers. Sprinkle few drops of essential oils, light up the tea light candle and add in water, steam the essential oil to disperse sense to your room.

 

Electric vapor
Electric diffuser or vaporizer offers a clean and effective way to vaporize your pure essential oil. It has eliminated the volatile naked flame, messy candle wax & avoid the use of oily hot water. Safe and hassle free way to disperse the aroma into a room, creating a natural fragrant and relaxing atmosphere. Switch on the power, add essential oil and water to the reservoir, sit back and enjoy! This can be particularly useful where there are elderly or children.


Diffuser
Keeping home scenting simple and elegant, reed diffusers are great alternatives to candles. It does not require electric or batteries. The willow reeds will gently disperse the aroma of pure essential oils.


Inhalation /steam inhalation
A simple way of using essential oils, handy method when you out of the house. Drop 1-2 drops of essential oils onto a handkerchief or tissue, inhale deeply, repeat as required. Provide an instant relief for cold, flu, headache and sinus congestion.
Steam inhalation, add 3 drops of essential oil into a bowl of steaming water, cover your head with a towel, close your eyes, and put your face above the water and inhale deeply. 

Compress
An effective method applied for a small area/part of body for relief discomfort or pain using a clean folded cloth dampened with either cold or hot water depending on the purpose. Hot compress helps relieve muscle aches, chronic pain, period cramps etc, while cold compress is for reducing swelling, sprains and headaches. Add 3-5 drops of pure essential oil to hot or cold water, soak the cloth, wring and apply to the affected area
